..behind the scene.. by db-imagery ..behind the scene.. by db-imagery
contemplated wether or not to post this one..thought it would be an interesting perspective to share...this is showing the walkway going down to and around majestic falls, in the mcdowell creek state park. for my little sess here i came down from the top and went under the part you see center/right of frame and made my way around to a nice vantage creekside..here is that look

speaking of looks, thank you for looking:)

wow! the makeshift bridges up here get swept out pretty much every year..or crushed by the snow piles.. but to imagine a structure like that get taken out..must of been a crazy surge coming through there! lookin for a journey for this weekend..found out at least two more forest roads have been washed out..always amazed by the power of water

welcome! :D

:fingerscrossed: We shall see. The valley got dumped on last night. There are at least a few good inches of fresh powder outside my door this morning. Happy first day of spring to you, my friend. :)

It's just as nice a shot as the one you labored for, Doug. I really like the walkway and how you've composed it into this shot making a nice leading line back into the shot and the falls. I think it adds. At least whoever designed the walkway designed it to blend in with the architecture and materials used not to mention the viewing platform.

The clods that designed the walkway at Roughlock Falls here didn't have photographers in mind when they designed those walkways effectively limiting you to just a couple views and NO CHANCE whatsoever of hopping the fence for a different one lest the 'View Police' catch you and fine you massively :police:

thanks much, buddy!!..and yeah, it can kinda ruin a scene if these structures aren't designed to blend:(...and some shots are worth risking that massive fine, just as long as you are not risking your safety...just need a good lookout;)

Nice to see some "backstage" shot as well. Always wondered, what effort is needed to get to such spots.
As I see, "paths" would be understated. It's a damn "highway" :D
Pic itself is top-noth as always

...the whole trail isn't like this....this falls happens to be next to a parking and picnic area, so, i think they just hooked this little section up because of more traffic...nonetheless, most grateful for the nice words, martin!:)!

Welcome :)
And I thought so. It's similar here. Most of the more popular falls have roads and platforms for tourists.
Good to enjoy nature easily of course and I'm the last one who complains about an easy hike, but
undeveloped spots tend to be less crowded and therefor better to shoot. You may know ;)
All the best Doug
